LONDON The mid 60's
CREAM of the CROP

WILSON was enjoying a measure of success whilst in LONDON with his art and with His passion for music being satisfied by attending regular gigs by some of the best musicians in the country. There were many musical influences during these years, and probably none more so than Eric Clapton and the CREAM, and then the magnificent  BEATLES release of 'Sergeant Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band.' The raw rhythm and blues from the CREAM, and the artistic and lyrical work from the Beatles inspired WILSON.
THE CREAM

WILSON stated that LONDON can be a very lonely city, were it not for the friends and relationships He had made, and the exposure to different cultures that the city offered. There had been periods of self inflicted loneliness and poverty. And where there had been a spiritual winter, thankfully it was sure to be followed by a sunny and upbeat spirited summer

Summer in the city was much prefered to the cold and harsh physical winters. Bliss and excitement which were part of the 60's in this great city hand in hand with dark periods where lonliness pervaded His spirit.  WILSON asked that we share a couple of clips that gives a flavour of the rhythm of the times. Firstly 'Clapton' and the CREAM.

THE CREAM
As for CLAPTON he was considered to be GOD amongst his fans. Whether it was an afternoon gig where other muso's would get together and enjoy his playing, or at one of London's many night clubs..... Clapton was King and fed his loyal band of fans with pure inspiration... clean and precise artistry on the guitar,

THE BEATLES - Sergeant Pepper's .....
The Beatles were true craftsmen when it came to songwriting and close harmonies. They inspired a whole generation with there work, and will always have a place in WILSON's heart for their contribution to the cultural revolution of the 60's.

WILSON shared that his life and his quest for excellence has certainly been influenced by the FAB Four.
